A nice custom portrait of your nice pet. Suitable for living rooms, offices, and anywhere you'd want to display something wholesome.
A portrait of your pet, if your pet recently emerged from the nightmare realm.
Who doesn’t want a nice portrait of their kitty or pooch hanging next to the fun house mirror version? Get a little discount by ordering two portraits (Normal and Abnormal) at once.
This deal is for two portraits of the same pet (or pets) in both pieces of art. For separate portraits of different pets, please order them individually.
How commissions work

Before you order, pick 2-4 good photos of your pet.

You can order either a normal or abnormal portrait, or throw caution to the wind and order a bundle and save a few bucks.

8×10"
Number of pets:
1, 2, or 3. That's the limit!
For Abnormal portraits: Let me know if there are themes you want me to avoid.

If you don't see my email, check your spam folder. If it's not there either, email me at studio@justgenevieve.art and I'll sort it out. I'll confirm receipt within a few days!

Picture a montage of me set to your favorite song, where I feverishly create your pet portrait without stopping for a break. The final scene has me collapsed over a pile of photogenically arranged art supplies, your artwork strategically hidden from view, but emanating a golden glow like the lost ark.

You'll receive a watermarked preview via email before I ship anything.
This is your chance to catch something I’ve legitimately screwed up on (a small something… like I sent you a picture of someone else’s dog or got lazy and had my neighbor kid do your portrait in crayons on construction paper).
If I don’t hear anything back from you within 7 days, I am going to mail the original art as-is.

Art from my studio with insurance and tracking. It arrives with a signed certificate of authenticity, which proves I made it and you own it. Both useful if you ever need to explain either of those things to the police or an upset relative.
It comes unframed. How you display it is up to you! I've done my part, and trust you entirely with my precious art child.

Colors look weird in the photo? Just describe what's real. I believe you.
Following are some examples of pet photos taken on a smart phone that work nicely as references.
(Don’t worry if your pet isn’t as cute as this one… it’s genetically improbable.)
For Abnormal Portraits:
I need to understand your pet's essence before I corrupt it.
Include at least one clear reference shot so I know what I'm distorting (see the requirements for normal portraits)
Photos of your little sweetie being a scary creep can be inspirational. Don’t worry if you don’t have any. I can be creative.

What to Expect
My portraits are artistic interpretations, not photo reproductions. I may or may not replicate specific poses or compositions from your photos, but you can ask if you want.
You'll receive one preview before printing. At this stage, I can make minor adjustments (small color tweaks, fixing something I missed). Because each piece is my artistic interpretation, I don't offer revisions to style, composition, or artistic choices.
Don’t worry! You’re gonna love it, and it’s not generated by a large language model (AI), so you can count on it being infused with 100% artisanal blood, sweat, and tears. And elbow grease. Metaphorically speaking.
Quick Policy Overview
Send photos within 48 hours. I'll email you an upload link, or you can send them to studio@justgenevieve.art.
Turnaround: 4–6 weeks. The clock starts when I have usable photos.
You'll see a preview before I ship. We can make little tweaks at this point.
Ships unframed, insured, and tracked.
Full refunds (minus transaction fee) can be requested before I start. No refunds after. That's the deal.
